The Mobil 4-Star/AAA 4-Diamond Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa is Sonoma's only luxury resort. It is located in the heart of California's Wine Country only 45 minutes north of San Francisco. Its history dates to 1885 when Captain H. E. Boyes struck hot mineral water while drilling a well. Within five years he had built the Boyes Hot Springs Hotel on the site of the current Sonoma Mission Inn. Soon well-to-do San Franciscans began to arrive by boat and stagecoach to 'take the waters.'

A new source of 135 Degrees natural hot artesian mineral water was discovered in 1991 and is now used in the inn's two pools and whirlpools. Today, guests are attracted by the relaxing and romantic mood of the Inn, its wide range of Spa treatments and services,18 holes of championship golf, superb dining and high level of personal service.
