Nestled in the hills above Sausalito, Casa Madrona is an unforgettable haven of retreat and romance. The property, a casual, elegant blend of a 19th century Victorian Hotel and a New England style inn, has operated as a lodging facility since 1905. In 1976 the Victorian Mansion was restored and additional rooms were created that cascaded down the hillside and around the mansion, offering enchanting views of the yacht harbor and the bay. Currently, The Casa Madrona Hotel has a total of 29 rooms and 5 suites. Each room is individually designed and decorated ranging from the La Posada with its century-old Portuguese appeal, to the Artists Loft complete with painting supplies. In 2000 and 2001 Casa Madrona is expanding into the property next door adding an additional 31 rooms/suites, a full service Spa with treatment rooms, and a full service three meal restaurant and bar. Indulge yourself at the award winning Mikayla restaurant in Chef Jon Nelson's cuisine while overlooking the beautiful bay. Mikayla's is open nightly for dinner and Champagne Sunday brunch. Simple pleasures such as our private outdoor Jacuzzi, complimentary breakfast, and twice daily maid services are available. Guests are also offered a "social hour" each evening in the Victorian Mansion's parlor where a selection of Californian wines and cheeses are served.
